Black Saturday - Australian Bushfires 2009

On Saturday 7^th February 2009, south eastern Australia was ravaged by the worst bushfires the country had ever seen. A series of raging infernos claimed 173 lives. On this day, entire country towns were wiped off the map.

But what about the people who survived the fires? How do they live now, having lost everything they owned? And why do people risk their lives in order to save their houses from burning?
